Vuestro hijo/a va a empezar la
Unidad 7 de su libro de Conocimiento del Medio Macmillan Natural and Social Science 1. La unidad trata de las
plantas (Plants) y en ella aprenderá
a:

saber
que las plantas son seres vivos y a distinguir diferentes tipos de plantas
·
comprender
la importantes que son la luz, el aire y el agua para ellas
·
distinguir
las partes de una planta
·
entender
las etapas básicas del ciclo de vida de las plantas
·
observar
algunas plantas de la zona en que reside
·
saber
cuáles son las partes comestibles de las plantas
En esta unidad también hará un
experimento sobre el crecimiento de las semillas e investigará
qué condiciones necesitan las plantas para poder crecer. La clase recitará la rima Plants para repasar el vocabulario clave
de la unidad en contexto. Animad a vuestro niño/a para que la escuche mientras
mira el Picture dictionary en la página
132 de su libro.

esta unidad consisten en que investigue las plantas que crecen en su entorno
cercano. Salid con vuestro hijo/a por los alrededores de vuestra casa y
animadlo/a para que dibuje los árboles, los arbustos, la hierba y las flores de
su ciudad.

Your child is about
to start unit 7 of their Science coursebook Macmillan Natural and Social
Science 1. The topic of this unit is Plants.
In this unit, your child will learn to

recognise plants as living
things and learn to distinguish different types of plants
·
understand the importance of
sunlight, air and water for plants
·
distinguish the parts of a
plant
·
understand the basic stages
of plant life cycles
·
observe plants in the local
environment
·
identify the edible parts of
plants
Additionally in this
unit, your child will conduct an experiment about growing seeds and investigate the conditions
plants need for growth. They say the Plants chant. This chant allows your child to review the key
vocabulary of the unit in context. Encourage your child to listen to the chant
while looking at page 132 of the Picture dictionary.

child’s homework for this unit is to
investigate plants in the local environment. Go outside with your child to look around the area near home and encourage
them to draw any trees, bushes, flowers and grass in the locality.
